Voices in Paradise has been and gone for another year. It was a huge success again this year with 122 registrants from 9 different high schools, 6 universities including Griffith University’s Serotonin and Blenders Youth Chorus. The guest educators for the day were Blindside who coached the boys, and A Cappella champions, Drums of War who coached the girls. The registrants spent the day with their respective coaches fine tuning their songs and then performed them to a full house for the evening concert. The evening concert also featured The Blenders, Coastal Charisma, Seratonin, Post Busters, AB Paterson boys chorus, and to round out the night, performances from Blindside and Drums of War. The night was polished off with a combined performance of 24K Magic by Bruno Mars.
In preparation for the Nationals in Adelaide we held our annual camp a couple of weeks ago at the Outdoor Education Centre at Maroon Dam just outside of Boonah in Qld. A very picturesque setting where we were put through our paces by Blindside, our coaches for the weekend. A great weekend of singing and frivolity and was had by all.
This year is the 30th Anniversary of The Blenders. We will be having a celebratory dinner on the 3rd November at the Palmer Colonial Golf Club, Robina. We would love to have any past Blenders, family or friends to come along and celebrate this milestone with us. If you would like to attend please send your details to and we will be in touch with you. Should be great night. Hope to see you there.
