It’s all happening down here in the Festival State. Fringe season is upon us and we at the Statesmen are hard at work preparing our latest show: Pretty Boys! This really is the biggest, most complicated thing we’ve done as an ensemble, developing a musical from scratch, arranging and choreographing the songs in-house, and using an entirely original script written by one of our own members: Mitre Khammash. The show will be staged at Tandanya in the East End of Adelaide and tickets are available at adelaidefringe.com.au/
But just because we’re attempting something huge doesn’t mean we’re not hard at work doing other things as well. You may have noticed on facebook that we’ve released a new music video! If you missed our small ensemble’s winning performance at Vocal Australia’s AUS-ACA championships last year you can finally have a look for yourself at the Festival Statesmen performing Canned Heat by Jamiroquai at youtu.be/ok0KOPDhrdw
Make sure you stay tuned because we have plenty more videos up our sleeve, and we have a lot of exciting news regarding tours and performances that we can’t wait to let you in on once the Fringe is done!
