Convention Registrations are now closed but some event tickets are still available
Due to catering and logistic constraints, convention registrations are now closed along with attendance to the welcome dinner and the farewell lunch. Purchase of Convention merchandise is also no longer available from the Convention website and will not be available for purchase at the Convention. Tickets for all other events can still be obtained from the convention registration desk, at the door of each event. Showcase tickets can also be purchased via the Wests Group website, or purchased at the reception desks of any Wests Group Club. Avoid the queues in Newcastle
A number of the major Convention events are to be held at the newly refurbished Wests City Club in Newcastle including the Welcome Dinner, the Quartet Competition Final, the Chorus Competition, the Showcase of Champions and the Farewell Lunch.  The Club also has excellent restaurants providing a very convenient eating location throughout the Convention. Being a registered Club, all non-Club members will be required to sign-in each time they visit this venue. This will inevitably cause some queueing at times as large numbers of delegates converge on the Club for the various events. To help avoid these possible queues, Wests are providing online facilities to enable conference delegates to pre-join the Club thus avoiding possible sign-in delays when attending events at the Club. For a modest fee of just $12, or $5 for Seniors and Pensioners, you can become a full member of the Club for 12 months. Membership will also entitle you to various discounts throughout the Club. NOTE: be aware that when either completing the process online, or, filling out the form, you will need to produce ID (Driver’s Licence is OK) when going to reception to collect your membership card.
Daylight saving comes to Newcastle
Daylight saving starts in NSW at midnight on Saturday 1 October 2016. This means you will need to put your watches and clocks forward by one hour before you go to bed after the Showcase and Afterglow on Saturday night. Don't forget otherwise you will be one hour late for all the events on Sunday. Where do I check in when I get to Newcastle?
The registration desk can be found in the Newcastle City Hall located at 290 King Street, Newcastle. When you arrive at City Hall proceed to the registration desk to collect your merchandise (if ordered) as well as your delegate bags, passes and tickets. |
